Purpose

Glyami is a free app that helps you understand how food affects blood glucose and choose products more wisely: estimated glycemic index, glycemic load for a portion, a reading of the label (Nutri-Score, Nova, additives), alternatives and tips, shopping lists, meal ideas, loyalty cards and, if you wish, a personal log. Glyami was called Glycéo until October 2026. By using the app, you accept these terms.

Estimates, not certainties

The glycemic index is estimated from published tables and the product's composition. The glycemic load is calculated for the portion you enter. These values are for information only: they vary with preparation, the meal and each person.

Product data

Product information comes from Open Food Facts, a collaborative database. It may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always check the label, especially if you have an allergy. Data © Open Food Facts contributors, under the ODbL licence; photos under the CC BY-SA licence.

The Nutri-Score, the Nova group and the list of additives are taken from Open Food Facts, as they are calculated there. Nutri-Score is a registered trademark of Santé publique France. The “to watch” note on an additive relies on the assessments taken from Open Food Facts.

Meal ideas and other sources

Meal ideas are cooking suggestions, not a diet or a prescription. Their load per serving is estimated from average carbohydrate values in the Ciqual 2025 food composition table by Anses (published on 19 November 2025), reused under the Licence Ouverte 2.0. Anses has neither reviewed nor endorsed Glyami. Glycemic indexes are estimated from published tables (Atkinson et al., 2008 and 2021; University of Sydney database).

Loyalty cards

Glyami keeps the code of your loyalty cards on your phone to show it at the checkout. The code is redrawn from what you scanned or typed, and some codes are shown as a number only: a shop's reader may sometimes fail to read it, so keep your card within reach. The brands and shops whose names you give to your cards belong to their owners; Glyami has no link with them. Do not store bank cards or identity documents.

Shared lists

When you send a list to someone, by message or with a code to scan, the items you still have to buy leave your phone by the means you choose. The other person makes a new list of them or adds them to their own; the two lists then live separately.

A free service, provided as is

Glyami is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases. It is provided “as is”, without any guarantee of permanent availability or of being error-free. It may change, be updated or be discontinued.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for decisions made solely on the basis of information in the app, nor for any unavailability of the service or of Open Food Facts data. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

Proper use

The app is for personal use. You agree not to misuse it, copy it for resale or try to disrupt it.

Intellectual property

The Glyami name, the Pépin character, the illustrations and the app's code belong to their author. The fonts used are under the SIL Open Font License. Open Food Facts data and photos remain under their respective licences.

Your data

Your data stays on your phone. Everything is explained in the privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. As a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence. If you have a question or disagreement, please write first to contact@glyami.app.
